Sara Larios Mitchell was appointed CEO of StarVista in October 2012, on the retirement of Michael Garb. She has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Golden Gate University, and a Doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. With over 15 years of experience in clinical services, including early childhood, domestic violence, trauma, youth development, family support and counseling, Sara is strongly committed to the children, families and individuals of our diverse community, and to strengthening opportunities for everyone to transform their lives.

Dianette has worked in the non-profit sector in San Mateo County for over 20
years, with various programs and agencies that are now part of StarVista. Prior to joining FACES, Inc. in 1997, Dianette served as the Director of Finance and Administration at the Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center in Burlingame for 12 years. A native of Denmark, Dianette earned a B.S. in Accounting from Hayward State University.

Clarise Blanchard is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who joined StarVista (then FACES) as Program Manager of the Women's Enrichment Center in August, 2000. Prior to that, Clarise served as a Supervisor at Pyramid Alternatives in Pacifica for 10 years, where she worked with adults, children and youth, and provided counseling for individuals struggling with addictions, mental health issues and domestic violence. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics, Clarise also earned an M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Reno, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Northern California Graduate University.

Sarah Poulain received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005 and has worked as a family counselor for families in crisis for many years. She began at StarVista in December 2005 as a Mental Health Clinician in the Healthy Homes Program, became the Program Coordinator of the Learning Together program in 2007, and was promoted to Program Manager of the Learning Together Program in 2010.

Stephanie Weisner began her career at StarVista in October 2010 as the Program Director of Transitional Youth Services, the Transitional Housing Placement Plus Program for emancipated foster youth. Ms. Weisner is a licensed clinical social worker who received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University in New York. She has worked with foster youth, at-risk adolescents and families in community based and residential treatment programs since 2000. Stephanie is a warm and engaging leader, a true professional, an experienced and trusted clinician, and a solid administrator.

Peter Ehrhorn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who joined StarVista as a trainee of the Insights Program in 2010. He received his Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2011 and worked as a mental health clinician for at-risk youth and their families for many years. Mr. Ehrhorn became the Program Coordinator of the Insights program in 2013, and shortly thereafter, was promoted to Program Manager of Your House South in 2014. He has a strong passion for empowering both staff and youth to reach their full potentials.

George Charbak joined StarVista in October 2014. With over 15 years of combined experience in quality, data, risk, documentation, and project managements, George is passionately committed to identify areas for quality improvement, compliance policies, standard procedures, and the implementation of processes improvements that impacts client care. In his role as the Compliance Officer, he provides oversight on Utilization and Quality Review, Standards and Practices, Standards Training, and Performance Improvement and Review. Prior to StarVista, he was Assistant Director of Quality Management at Alternative Family Services where he oversaw all compliance and quality improvement aspects for agency’s Mental Health and Foster Care programs in San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, and Sonoma Counties. George has a Masters in Drama from San Francisco State University.
